The Artists

Jennifer Funderburk is a thirty something graphic designer living in Florida with her husband, Jason Funderburk, and their two dalmatians, Sunny and Dot. In her spare time Jen enjoys spending time with Jason, modern art, interior design, reading, video games, surfin' the internets, taking the dogs to the park & traveling.

Jason is also a freelance artist. He acts as Art Director, Consultant, Instructor and Counselor for all of the Lekker shops as well as the artist behind many designs. Without Jason's guidance and knowledge, the Lekker shops would not exist. When he’s not glued to his computer, he’s usually on his scooter with members of Tampa Two Stroke Scooter Club or spending quality time with the family. The Story

Growing up, Jennifer fancied an odd array of dream jobs: bee keeper, paleontologist, secretary - like her grandma, Disneyland tour guide & interior designer, to name a few. After climbing a few of those ladders and not finding what she was looking for, she decided to take some time off and figure out where to go next. When the 2004 election season began, Jennifer and Jason became early supporters of John Kerry. They opened a shop with John Kerry items in February 2004 called Kerry Swag in hopes of making back some of the money they were donating. The store was successful beyond their dreams and led to Jennifer finding her dream job, a store owner and graphic designer.

The Shops

Kerry Swag was re-named Lekker Politics after the election and now sells a variety of anti-Bush, Liberal, Democrat, Progressive, Issue, & Activist items. Lekker Politics is the place to find political shirts with style.

In October of 2004, Lekker Designs was opened to feature funny tees, TV inspired swag, geeky goodies and whatever random designs came to her mind.

Lekker Bride opened in March of 2005 and offers a wide variety of apparel and gifts designed with the bride to be in mind. The stylish shirts make great gifts for brides, bachelorettes, newlyweds, attendants & members of the wedding party. Designs to suit every wedding, from traditional to modern.

Lekker Kids opened in October of 2005, offering cool kids t-shirts, hip onesies, funny bibs and stylish gifts for children. We love incorporating retro art, vintage illustrations, bold graphics & quirky humor into our apparel designs.

Lekker Seasons opened in October of 2007. Featuring hand selected designs from artists at CafePress, Lekker Seasons has all you holiday t-shirt and gift needs.
